1st KOBRA Symposium in Wittenberg. We are delighted to welcome Daria Bona’s as part of the 1st KOBRA Symposium. Daria Bona will speak about the ‘Artist Meets Archive’ initiative launched by the Internationale Photoszene Köln. Artist Meets Archive is the flagship programme of the Internationale Photoszene Köln, which focuses on the artistic exploration of photography in the context of archives.

KOBRA stands for Kontinuitäten, Brüche, Ausblicke (Continuities, Breaks, Prospects) and is a project launched in summer 2025 as part of the programme “Aller.Land – zusammen gestalten, Strukturen stärken“, which is also funded by the State of Saxony-Anhalt. The network of ten associations and institutions, coordinated by the district of Wittenberg, aims to highlight historical continuities and breaks over a five-year period in order to develop new perspectives for the cultural region. The network partners offer a wide variety of events to encourage locals to take a fresh look at their familiar surroundings and to introduce visitors to lesser-known aspects of the historic region between Prettin, Gräfenhainichen, Coswig and Wittenberg. A key component is the regular artist residencies, coordinated and curated by the Passage Art-Residency-Programme.

The 1st sKOBRA Symposium will focus on “Archives and libraries as sources of knowledge and places of inspiration”. The event will take place on 10th December 2025. Start: 11.00 am, end approx. 3.30 pm
